Where are the forums?

I’ve noticed that sadly most of our community has yet to register on our forums. It’s possible this is because it’s not as prominent on this site, so I wanted to point out the button at the top of this site that says “The Community Forums”. Click that and it’ll take you right there. The Board really wants to hear from you.

I also wanted to make everyone aware that I plan to drastically change the appearance of the website, to try and make it easier to use. This shouldn’t affect you, but I wanted you all to be aware of the changes.

Meeting Agenda

Edit: The meeting agenda has been posted in the forums here.

Also, if you’re interested in pulling up a copy of the Newsletter you can do so here.

My apologies that the agenda isn’t posted yet, I’m having some complications posting it, but I’ll get it figured out soon.

Keep checking back, and if you’re registered on the forums you’ll receive notification by e-mail!

Hurley Discount Arranged

From the Grand Bel Manor Board of Directors:

By now, you should have had your HVAC cut off valves/nipples inspected by our onsite engineer and/or had your HVAC units serviced by a Licensed Plumber.
The Board of Directors along with Shea Management has both spoken with Hurley Company and we have negotiated a rate discount based on number of units repaired. The discounts are as follows:

30 or less 599.00 per unit
31 to 50    569.00  “      “
51 to 70    557 .00  “     “
71 to  90   545 .00  “    “
90  or more 539    “    “

As a reminder, Hurley Company is just a recommendation, and you are not obligated to use their services. If you have paid the entire amount, Shea Management will reimburse you based on the number of units they repair.

If you decide to use your own plumber, keep the following in mind:
Make sure that they are licensed
Make sure that they provide a guarantee for the work that they do. It will be your responsibility for any damages that occur from your unit if they do not guarantee their work.
Get a copy of the contractors HVAC or Plumbing license as proof that they can legally do the work.
Provide proof of work completed to Shea Management.

All work should be completed by October 15, 2009.
