Update: Hot Water has been restored! If you still don’t have hot water please call Shea Management immediately.
As many of you likely have already noticed, we are currently experiencing an issue with our hot water. It’s unclear which buildings are most effected, but it appears 3810s and 3820s are at least partially effected, and it’s quite likely the 3800s are as well.
Unfortunately the boiler pump failed, and there were complications during its replacement. I’ve been told that a team will be on site early Saturday morning, and we’ll hopefully have hot water by 10AM.
If you ever noticed a hot water outage, please report it to Shea Management immediately.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are unfortunately experiencing a power outage of some sort. It does not appear to be impacting all of the complex, however the boiler room is completely out, as are several buildings. Others, myself included, appear to be experiencing a brownout, and not a total loss of power.
PEPCO has been made aware of the situation and will hopefully resolve the issues before the night is through.
The board and management continue to monitor the situation.
Update (11:30 AM 10/14/11): The latest news I’ve heard is that the problem is with an underground PEPCO line. PEPCO is on site attempt to repair the issue. The good news is that this is not a GBM problem!
